As experimental noise duo Gum Takes Tooth, Jussi Brightmore and Tom Fug, push their sound in a new direction with their latest two-part 'Recovered EP'. Two brand new tracks are accompanied by remixes of the duo's 2023 album 'Recovery Position' from an exciting collection of aligned artists.

It's an exhilarating transitional moment for GTT with the new tracks providing a snapshot of where the band is at, both creatively and as a gigging live outfit. The new material retains their commitment to relentless future focused experimentation while simultaneously invoking the visceral body moving fire of their current live sets. The two-part release will coincide with a tour in February where they'll perform their live shows across Europe.

‘Recovered Part 1’ leads with the slamming broken techno of the futuristic new single 'Liberte-me' where brutal industrial percussion and propulsive acid arps ignite an accelerated stepper dub rhythm that extends the sound of 'Recovery Position' flawlessly into uncharted new spaces. In the first batch of remixes, UK pioneer Oliver Ho a.k.a. Broken English Club (Citi Trax, L.I.E.S., Death & Leisure) steps up to remould 'Octavian Eclipse' into moody club pummeling acid shapes. Iggor Cavalera, Soulwax collaborator and co-founder/drummer of famed Brazilian metal pioneers Sepultura, goes for a more subtle approach reworking 'Armistice' into a freaky vocal-lead downtempo drum groove with spooky synths and icy electro robotics. Always one to watch for, Nottingham based multi-instrumentalist AJA completes Part One with her reliably in-yer-face approach turning 'Small Arms' into a breathtaking future grime experiment.

The Recovered EP will be released by the Barcelona based Selvamancer imprint, a heads down DIY label with Dutch roots pushing sunburned rave sounds and other sonic violence. With forthcoming releases lined up by Gesloten Cirkel, Legowelt and Hedge Maze in 2024, this is an exciting new chapter in their catalogue.
